A working meeting was recently held in Elista between the First Deputy Prime Minister of Kalmykia Erdni Tserenov and representatives of the Central Bank and the country’s largest banks operating in the region.

The meeting focused on organizing the financial infrastructure for foreign guests attending the forum. Participants included Aslan Medaliev, Head of the National Bank of the Republic of Kalmykia (Southern Main Branch of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation); Erdni Lidzhiev, Head of the regional branch of Sberbank; Alexey Sekenov, Head of VTB in the region and Kamil Batkaev, a representative of Rosselkhozbank.

Several key decisions were made to ensure smooth financial transactions for forum participants:

  • Mobile currency exchange points will be set up in hotels and at forum venues;
  • Virtual and physical bank cards will be available for registration;
  • Simplified access to financial services will be provided to ensure a comfortable stay for foreign guests.

According to Erdni Tserenov, who is overseeing the preparation and organization of the III International Buddhist Forum in Kalmykia, these measures will help avoid difficulties with currency exchange and payments, making the stay of international guests even more pleasant.
"The International Buddhist Forum will welcome guests from many countries and ensuring payment convenience is one of our top priorities. The best impressions often lie in the details and we aim to provide our guests with the highest level of comfort", - said Tserenov.
